Wico. Schools to launch college application boot camp

Wicomico County Schools are leading a new effort and the goal is to help students with the college application process.
It's called 'College Application Boot Camp', which will give high school juniors and their parents a head start in the college application process.They will learn how to write essays, apply for scholarships, as well as receive tips on interviewing with college officials.
Wicomico County school officials tell us they noticed students and parents needed more information to get through the process.
"They would say I'm really worried about how I'm going to support my child admission process. Where are they going to go after college? How do I know how to help them make the right choice," says Beth Sheller, the Family Involvement Specialist for Wicomico County Public Schools.
Students and parents will have until June 9th to register for the event, the College Application Boot Camp will take place June 19th -20th.
Wicomico County Public Schools will hold a College Fair will also take place on June 20th from 12:00-3:00PM.
