Weatherholtz sentenced 36 years in federal prison for child pornography charges

A Berlin man has been sentenced to 36 years in prison for production of child pornography, U.S. Department of Justice officials announced on Friday.
David Edward Weatherholtz, former owner of the now defunct O.C. Jamboree family theatre in West Ocean City, pled guilty in federal court back in February on two counts of producing child pornography.
According to his plea agreement, Weatherholtz, 57, had sexual contact or intercourse with at least four minors from August 1990 until his arrest in 2015, including family members and a child he mentored.
Following 36 years in prison, Weatherholtz was sentenced to face a lifetime of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay more than $100,000 in restitution to his victims and to forfeit commercial real estate in Ocean City, officials said.
