Tyler’s Building Company continues to advance on the Downing Project

47 ABC has an update on the Downing Project. Some of the finishing touches were added to the home on May 26, 2017.

Tyler's Building Company was out at the home of Valentina Downing, adding siding onto a new addition.

The company built two new bedrooms onto the home along with a bathroom and shower to accommodate the medical needs of Valentina's two grandchildren, the victims of a recent violent crime in December 2016.

All of the additions are handicap accessible.

Naomi and Aydahnn Sells were reportedly attacked by their mother's boyfriend with a knife and hammer. They are still recovering from their injuries.

Their mother died from her injuries 6 days later.

With the guidance of Habitat for Humanity, renovations have been made to their grandmother's home, where they will be living.

The next thing they hope to accomplish is getting the heating system and dry wall in by the following week.
