Seventy years ago Tri-State Engineering began their vision of creating what some would call *works of art* out of their plant in Salisbury.
Now that legacy will be continued by local college students.

Salisbury University recently purchasing the former Tri-State building to house it's three dimensional arts program.
That transaction will allow students to incorporate some of metal making equipment left in the building.
Those with the university say the purchase will give them more space and it will allow them to expand the arts program.

<075851 so the idea that students can make a living as artists isn't a crazy idea at all because we're again, this is still an affluent land of opportunity and there's a market out there if you want to put it in those terms for beautiful works of glass and sculpture and even works that push the limits 075910>
