Roadie Joe’s host benefit for Ryan and Max Ellis

A restaurant in salisbury hosted a benefit after a Salisbury woman drove the wrong way on Route 50 in Annapolis.
The driver 22-year-old Ashley Murphy died at the scene. Her 11-month son Max was in the backseat during the crash.
Roadie Joe's in Salisbury created a benefit to raise funeral costs for Ashley.
From lunch to dinner, 10% of those profits will head to those costs.
They are also accepting donations. Most of their servers are evening donating their tips.
Roadie Joe's owner has a mutual friend with Max's father, Ryan Ellis. Their friend reached out to see what they can do to help out.
Roadie Joe's owner, Jeremy Norton says, "It's so important to come out here because what if it were you, what if it was your loved one. You should never have to worry about the burden of a financial aspect when something of this magnitude happens. It's a terrible tragedy and we want to ease that burden as much as we can."
We are told Sonrise Church was a big factor in creating this benefit. Murphy was a member of the church.
