Police: NJ man arrested for drugs, traffic stop

Police say a New Jersey man was arrested after a traffic stop led authorities to drugs in his car.
Jerry Hamilton, Jr., 33, was arrested Saturday after being stopped on Sussex Highway. According to the Laurel Police Department, Hamilton, Jr. was stoped for traffic offenses. When he was contacted by officers, we're told he provided a false name.
A search of the vehicle resulted in police finding 55.6 grams of heroin and 29.5 grams of fentanyl.
Hamilton Jr. now faces possession of a Tier 5 controlled substance, criminal impersonation, possession of drug paraphernalia and several other traffic offenses.
He has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $16,003 secured bond.
