Police: 67-year-old man struck by gunfire in Smyrna

Smyrna Police are investigating a Thursday night shooting that injured a 67-year-old man.

According to police, officers responded at around 10 o'clock Thursday night for a report of a shooting in the unit block of Lincoln Street. Investigators say several people were standing near a car when an unknown suspect, or suspects, opened fire on the group.

One man was struck, later being transported to Kent General Hospital where he was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
