CONGRATULATIONS TO JULIAN SADUR!

Julian Sadur received the first ever Symbol Award on 21 April from the Lower Shore Clinic in Salisbury. The award was presented for his four-part series called “Breaking the Stigma”, a hard look at mental health issues. Congratulations and outstanding job, Julian!
THE MAY RATINGS PERIOD STARTED ON THURSDAY
This is another reminder that you, as an employee of a broadcast facility and your immediate household may not participate in any of the Nielsen Surveys. If you receive a phone call or related paperwork, just advise them that you are a broadcaster and cannot participate. If you have any questions, see your Supervisor.
STATION VISITORS

• First grade students from Chipman Elementary in Salisbury visited the Station last week. Anchor Lenita Wesson and Chief Meteorologist Daniel Johnson gave them a tour and they talked about the broadcasting business. The students enjoyed the “magic” of television. Seeing our business through the eyes of children is a good reminder just how special broadcasting is!
SPECIAL THANKS to the engineers for their efforts to bring us back on line when the Tricaster failed last week and to all the MCO’s, directors, producers, reporters, weather casters, anchors and studio crew who compensated for the failure by re-working our on-air product. After the initial failure which took everyone by surprise, our newscasts were simplified and clean until we got the replacement part installed. Good job in handling the challenge!
