Laurel man charged for Seaford convenience store shooting that injured one

A Laurel man has been charged in connection to a Monday evening shooting outside of the De-Lux Dairy Market in Seaford.
At around 6:24 PM, Delaware State Police responded to the emergency room at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital on a report of a victim with a gunshot wound. Investigators learned that the 21-year-old male victim was shot from behind in his upper torso, reportedly as he was leaving the De-Lux Dairy Market on 10599 Concord Road. He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe that the victim had been inside the store visiting a friend, then left the business as an altercation began in the parking lot. The victim allegedly heard gunshots and began running, then fell to the ground after being struck in the back.
At about 9:25 PM, detectives say Antonio Britt, 21, of Laurel, turned himself in to police at DSP Troop 4 in Georgetown. He is charged with first degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, reckless endangerment and second degree conspiracy. He was arraigned and released on a bond of $52,500, officials said.
Officials are asking anyone who may have more information about this incident to call Detective K. Archer at 302-752-3791 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
