Hogsten notches century mark as Indian River rollls past Laurel

Indian River senior Madison Hogsten became the second player in school history to score 100 career goals as Indian River defeated Laurel 9-0 on Thursday night.

Her special moment came in 6th minute, when she drove around a defender, and fired a shot with her right foot that beat keeper near post.

Former teammate Brooke Beam became the first player in school history to accomplish the feat just one season ago. "I never really thought about the 100 until Brooke got it last year, and then ever since then its been my goal, because i've always looked up to Brooke. So i'm happy that I got it." said Hogsten.

Beam's school record of 114 stands well within Hogsten's reach, with 6 games plus playoffs remaining.
