Fire marshals investigating Princess Anne apartment fire

The Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a Tuesday evening fire at an apartment building in Princess Anne.
Shortly before 7:25 PM, firefighters with the Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Company responded to 11408 Bratten Avenue for a fire at an apartment, officials said. Fire marshals say it took 20 firefighters about 25 minutes to control the blaze.
Though no one was injured, officials say the occupants of the apartment have been displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. Damages to the building are estimated at $25,000 and content damages are estimated at $2,500, fire marshals said.
Investigators have not yet determined the fire's cause, but say the fire started in an upstairs bedroom.
