District Tri-County Pine Wood Derby in Salisbury hopes to create bonds

Boy scouts gathered at the Scout Hut in Salisbury for an annual competition.
The District Tri-County Pine Wood Derby had all the cub scout troops to race their cars against one another.
The cub scouts actually created these cars. They built them and designed them.
At the competition, they weigh the cars which cannot weigh more than five ounces.
The District Executive of the tri-county area of the boy scouts, Kim Parsons, tells us this event's purpose is to create a bond despite the competition.
"The kids, the boys are so excited and they were so excited to come and weigh their cars in and show them off and show their designs and everything. It was a great experience to watch them their enthusiasm and excitement,"
We are told not as many people showed up since they had to move the event's date around.
But that didn't stop 20 boy scouts from having some fun Saturday.
