Acting director of finance appointed in Wicomico County

Following the firing of Wicomico County Director of Finance Leslie Lewis, Wicomico County Executive Bob Culver has named Dawn Mitchell Parks to serve as acting director of finance for the county.

In an announcement this week, Wicomico County officials said Parks has worked for the county for 12 years and has previously served as the county's assistant director of finance for operations, along with already serving as acting fiance director in 2015. She has most recently worked as a systems project manager for the county.

Wicomico County Director of Administration Wayne Strausburg tells 47 ABC that Lewis' firing is an internal personnel matter and that the county has no further comment.
