UPDATE: Livestock killed in early morning Fruitland barn fire

UPDATE: The Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal is reporting that eight livestock perished in the Monday morning barn fire in the 28000 block of Riverside Drive Extended in Fruitland.
Damages to the structure are estimated at $60,000, officials said. The origin of the fire is still under investigation.

The Salisbury Fire Department assisted on a structure fire early Monday morning, officials said.
Officials say around 2 AM, the S.F.D. was alerted to assist Station three with a barn fire in the 28000 block of Riverside Drive Extension in Salisbury.
Several other stations within Wicomico and Somerset Counties were also on the scene.
