United Way’s Be the Difference Day

Saturday is the eastern shore's first Be the Difference Day.
Over 15 different non-profits will tackle 24 different projects ranging from yard work to painting to litter clean up to creating donation baskets.
Event times depend on each project, ranging from 8 am until 5 pm.
In most cases there's no restriction on age for those participating as long as an adult accompanies any children.
Online registration will be open through Friday night.
The website is: shoregetconnected.org.
And if you decide last minute on Saturday that you want to participate, organizers say you can either call a specific event listed on the website or show up at the designated time.
And if your first event has enough volunteers, organizers recommend trying another one.
Additionally, for other volunteering opportunities through out the year you can head to: www.unitedway4us.org.
