Truck crash causes road closure in Salisbury

A crash involving a large truck and a passenger car sent one person to the hospital and briefly blocked traffic on U.S. Route 50, officials said.

According to Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack E, at around 7:50 Wednesday morning troopers responded to the crash at Ocean Gateway and White Lowe Road.

A truck overturned and a white passenger car was involved, with one person sent to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Officials say part of eastbound Route 50 was closed off but has now  been reopened.
