Registered sex offender arrested on child pornography charges in Preston

An 82-year-old registered sex offender in Preston was arrested last Thursday on child pornography charges, officials with the Caroline County Sheriff's Office said.

Earlier in April, a citizen alerted a detective with the sheriff's office that Aubrey James Dunn, a Tier III sex offender, had suspected child pornography within his residence. Investigators obtained a search and seizure warrant for Dunn's home, reportedly finding obscene photos of juveniles along with child pornography stored on a laptop.

Deputies arrested Dunn and charged him with three counts of possession of obscene matter with intent to distribute and possession of child pornography. Dunn is currently being held at the Caroline County Detention Center on no bond.
