Local group invites Congressman Harris to event

Local Group, Worcester Indivisible, went to Congressman Andy Harris's Salisbury office to invite him to a March for Science and Earth Day celebration.
The topic is Science's Role in Public Policy and the event takes place on April 22 at 1pm on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
Worcester Indivisible says the Trump administration has opened a war on science by denying the role of man kind in climate change and by cutting funds to the National Institutes of Health.
Since the congressman is a scientist, the group along with Together We Will Delmarva and the Democratic Women's Club of Worcester County wanted to invite him to speak.
The Coordinator of Worcester Indivisible, Susan Buyer, says, "Those funds affect each and every one of us, our families, our children, our parents, and we need to support them. We need to support science, in terms of climate change."
Buyer says that they received a very positive response and Harris's staff told them that they would relay the invitation to Congressman Harris's DC office.
