Local church creates community Easter after party

Folks celebrated Easter throughout Delmarva Sunday, and one church in Salisbury kept the holiday spirit going after service with a family friendly after party.

Oak Ridge Baptist Church shook things up a little this Easter with a fun-filled party.

It included catered food, bouncy houses, and even a DJ playing gospel music filling part of the parking lot outside of the church.

And families were loving it.

One woman tells 47 ABC, "I'm loving it! It's nice out here, having a good ole time."

Pastor Tim Hastings says, "Something we always try and do is look for ways to connect people to the church to let them know we aren't these wacky Christians and we can have fun. That's one of the things we try to do is have a party and celebrate and connect with families."

The church also performed some baptisms for folks who decided to make that step as well.
