Indian River School District announces last day

The Indian River board of education approved a series of changes to the 2016-2017 school district calendar at their regular meeting on Monday.

The last day of school will now be on Friday, June 9. The last day for preschool students will be the week before on Friday, June 2 while the last day for teachers and para-professionals will be Tuesday, June 13.

The changes are from unused surplus hours built into the calendar to make up for weather related school closings.
