Hartly man extradited back to Caroline County to face sexual assault charges

A Guatemalan national wanted on rape and other charges in Caroline County was extradited back to Maryland from Atlanta after reportedly trying to flee the country.

19-year-old Sergio Soto of Hartly, Del., was taken into custody on a connecting flight last Wednesday after he reportedly ran away to Atlanta. A warrant was issued for Soto after a victim said that he sexually assaulted her in Marydel.

Caroline County deputies flew to Atlanta on Thursday to bring Soto back to face felony charges.
