Habitat for Humanity kicks off first Rock the Block event in Seaford

In Sussex county, Habitat for Humanity led a community-driven event on April 8, 2017 called Rock the Block in Seaford.
This is the first Rock the Block in the Seaford area.
We are told the event was created in order to get community members together in an effort to revitalize the neighborhood.
About 60 volunteers came out as they were located in different areas working on 10 projects total.
Much of the work was intended to create a visual impact such as yard work and power washing.
The Habitat for Humanity's program coordinator, Audrey Miller, tells 47 ABC that this is a new initiative as the first Rock the Block was just 3 weeks prior in Laurel. Miller says they see this continuing in the future.
Habitat for humanity says they will primarily focus on both, Seaford and Laurel, to continue community revitalizations in the following months.
