Federalsburg woman facing charges for reportedly grabbing child at Easton Pizza Hut

A Federalsburg woman was arrested Saturday on assault and disorderly conduct charges after she reportedly grabbed and yelled at a child at the Easton Pizza Hut, officials said.

Easton Police say officers responded to the Pizza Hut for a report of a woman putting her hands on a child. Upon arrival, police say they learned that the woman reportedly became upset over the behavior of a child in the restaurant and allegedly grabbed and scolded the child as the family was leaving. The woman left the scene, police said.

Police found the suspect, identified as Christine Spray, 42, of Federalsburg, at the Easton Econo Lodge. According to police, a woman there told police that Spray attempted to hit her. Officers report that Spray smelled strongly of alcohol. She was arrested and charged with second degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Spray has been committed to the Talbot County Detention Center on no bond, officials said.
