DSP investigating suspected targeted home invasion in Magnolia

Delaware State Police say they are investigating a home invasion that happened Thursday night in Magnolia.

Shortly after 9 PM, police say three men reportedly broke into the side door of a residence on West Walnut Street and demanded cash and marijuana from two 24-year-old men who were in the home at the time. One suspect was armed with a shotgun and stood guard at the door while the two other suspects forcibly took money and drugs from the men in the home, police said.

The suspects then fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

Detectives believe that this home invasion was specifically targeting the two victims, stating it was likely not a random act.

The description for the suspects is limited at this point, investigators say, with the three suspects only being described as males of unknown ages. Police say one suspect was approximately 5'10" or 5'11" tall, around 150 to 165 pounds and wearing a dark hoodie and a black mask. Another stood about 5'8" to 5'11" tall, weighed around 250 to 300 pounds and was wearing a light hoodie. The third suspect was reportedly taller, about 6' to 6'3" and weighed in the range of 170 to 185 pounds. He additionally wore a black hoodie and was the one armed with the shotgun, officials said.

Anyone with information on this home invasion is encouraged to call Detective R. Wright at 302-698-8429 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
