Delmar Softball remains undefeated in win over Delmarva Christian

The Delmar Wildcats softball team continued their undefeated start to the season in their 7-1 home win over the Delmarva Christian Royals. The win improves the Wildcats record to 6-0 while the loss drops the Royals to 5-1.
The undefeated Wildcats hosted the undefeated Delmarva Christian Royals tonight and they got off to a fast start scoring four runs in the first inning. They got runs from Avery Wheatley, Shelbi Taylor, Sydney Tyndall, and Madison Lemon.
The game was scoreless for the next three innings until Delmarva Christians Savannah Stweart had a two base hit to deep left field which allowed Allie Zitvogel to run home from third making it 5-1 at the top of the sixth inning. The Wildcats were able to score two more runs by Avery Wheatley and Nancy Harris to end the inning. The Wildcats were able to hold their 6 run lead for the rest of the game and went on to win 7-1 over Delmarva Christian.
The Wildcats will look to improve to 7-0 when they travel to Indian River high school on Monday the 10th at 4:15. The Royals will try to get back on their hot streak when they travel to McKean high school on Saturday the 8th at 11 A.M..
