Delmar man arrested on drug charges in Salisbury

Officials say that a Delmar man has been arrested on drug charges in Salisbury.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says that on Sunday, just after midnight, a deputy stopped a car driven by 20-year-old Bruce Johnson of Delmar for an equipment violation.

When the deputy met with Johnson, the deputy reportedly found what was identified as psilocybin mushrooms in plain view inside the car.

Further search found what the deputy allegedly identified as cocaine hidden inside a cigarette back on the car's dashboard. Officials say Johnson was then arrested and taken to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.

Following a first appearance, the Commissioner detained Johnson on $3,000 bond.
