Crash on St. Michaels Road sends man to Shock Trauma

A Talbot County man was medevaced to Shock Trauma in Baltimore when he was involved in a single vehicle crash Sunday evening, Maryland State Police said.

Troopers say that a Royal Oak man was driving a Kia Sorrento and failed to negotiate a turn as he was driving westbound at the intersection of Route 329 and Route 33. The vehicle struck a sign and hit a ditch, sending the car airborne across Route 33 and into a driveway across the roadway, police said.

The man was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore and officials say he was last listed in stable condition. Route 33 was closed Sunday evening for approximately one hour, police said.
