Virginians being encouraged to plan before storm

As Virginia State Police prepare for this wintry weather mix, Virginians are being encouraged to plan ahead.

Police say troopers and supervisors are working in advance and during the storm, to prevent crashes motorists are being reminded to use their headlights, slow, speed, do not tailgate and buckle up.

People should also put down their phones, check their cars, and don't leave home without a scraper, blanket, water, snacks, chargers or flashlights.
