Update: Berlin miracle baby continues to beat odds

Rihanna Juliet Hollen is eight months old and if you look at her now you would never know her first five months of life were a struggle inside hospital walls.
Rihanna's mom, Briana, says, "You cannot tell. You would never know that any of this happened to her."
Three months ago baby Rihanna was finally released from Johns Hopkins. Something doctors and even Briana admit weren't sure would happen.
Rihanna beat the odds then and she continues to at home.
"Doctors thought maybe development wise there would be some delays but she's right on point," Briana continues, "She beats them all she proves them completely wrong."
Although it hasn't been a complete walk in the park as baby Rihanna still relies on almost a dozen medications to stay healthy and each has to be taken at specific times throughout the day.
Brenda, Rihanna's grandma, says Briana has got it down.
"It's a lot, she gets up early in the morning and gives her a six o'clock med and at nine o'clock another eight or so meds through her feeding tube so she's on schedule. I don't have to wake her up and say, you know, 'did you give her her meds?' She's doing a great job."
But it doesn't stop them for being grateful to have Rihanna home and healthy. She only brings joy and happiness to their lives.
"She's just doing awesome. I mean she's a happy little baby, she's just giving me so much joy. Just seeing her get ready for church in her little Sunday dress and she's so happy," explains Brenda.
And Rihanna's meeting some important milestones like sitting up on her own, babbling, and even trying out some words.
Rihanna is still traveling to Johns Hopkins for check ups and she will have another surgery at three-years old.
But for now Briana thanks God that she's home.
