Two juveniles charged with arson for Salisbury house fire

The Office of the State Fire Marshal says two boys have been referred to the Department of Juvenile Justice for their alleged roles in a Salisbury arson.

On March 20th, firefighters responded just after 1:30 PM to a house fire in the 1100 block of East Church Street, officials said. Though fire marshals say firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within five minutes, the fire caused an estimated $6,000 in damages to the home's structure and the personal contents inside. The home was reportedly vacant and there were no injuries.

Fire investigators determined that the fire was an arson and say they were able to link the two juveniles to the blaze. Both boys have been charged with first degree arson and first degree malicious burning of personal property.
