SHA meets with first responders to prep for summer beach traffic

Maryland's State Highway Administration held a meeting in Queen Anne about upcoming summer beach traffic impacts.
SHA met with first responders from three counties, Queen Anne's, Talbot, and Caroline, in hopes to alleviate traffic.
MD 404 project will be in the construction phase over the summer but we are told the highway will not be closed for those beach-goers.
This 15-month-project may cause delays for drivers due to lane closures, but SHA tells drivers that they are hoping to provide alternate routes for the public in the next coming weeks.
SHA says motorists should be patient and plan ahead.
Officials say the MD 404 project will be done by Thanksgiving of this year.
