OC hosts annual St. Patrick’s Day parade

Saturday afternoon, Ocean City was glowing in green as the town hosted their annual Saint Patrick's Day parade.

Town officials tell us this tradition has grown to be the second largest Saint Patrick's Day parade in the state of Maryland. The event was sponsored by the Delmarva Irish-American club. It included performances by local marching bands as well as numerous decorated floats.

47 ABC caught up with a few parade goers.

"This is an annual tradition for us, we really love the St. Patrick's Day parade down here, and all the fun for the kids. They love the floats, they love watching the Masons come around  in their littler cars, and collecting all the candy and beads," says Lauren Castle from Forest Hill, MD.

"It's so much fun, it's very family friendly, all the kids and all the adults in the parade make sure they hi to our kids when we are on the side," says Jamie Criger, from Salisbury.

There is still time to partake in Saint Patrick's Day festivities on Delmarva. The City of Dover will be hosting their Saint Paddy's Day parade and festival on Saturday, March 18th from 11am – 4pm.
