New restaurant popping up on Riverside Drive’s empty property in Salisbury

In Salisbury, a three-acre plot of land has officially been purchased, as an asset to the development of downtown.

The property at 500 Riverside Drive has been on and off the market for 15 years and sold three different times.

The company who owns the local restaurant, Cactus Taverna, purchased the area to open a new restaurant.

The property has boat slips and a small pier for boating, as it was bought for $650,000.

Sperry Van Ness Real Estate, who sold the property, said this company is going to be huge as they are going to create a sense of community and culture in the downtown core.

We are told this restaurant may open in the next 10-14 months.
