MSP: Worcester County motor vehicle crash leaves one dead

In Worcester County, one person is dead after a motor vehicle collision early March 5, 2017.

Maryland State Troopers responded to the crash in the area of Route 1-13 and Lambertson Road shortly before 3 a.m.

The preliminary investigation indicated the car left the roadway and hit a telephone pole, several trees, and then bursted into flames upon impact.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say the driver has not been identified at this time due to the severity of the accident.
