A Dover man was sentenced Wednesday to three and a half years in prison for a vehicular homicide in July of 2016 that took the life of a 6-year-old girl.

Delaware Department of Justice spokesperson Carl Kanefsky says David Randall must complete one year of probation following his prison sentence and pay a $500 fine and restitution totaling $5,180.95.

Randall pled guilty in February to first degree vehicular homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol. On July 20, 2016, Randall drove onto a sidewalk in the White Oak Condos parking lot in Dover and struck 6-year-old Anya Jackson along with her mother and a family friend. Anya died as a result of her injuries.
