Delaware officials urge motorists to use extreme caution

Delaware officials say that they are continuing to monitor road conditions and that drivers should use extreme caution.
I-495 northbound and south bound speed limit has been lowered to 45 miles per hour.
Due to the high wind gusts officials say drivers should be careful of fallen tree limbs, power lines and debris on roads. They should also use caution when driving and watch out for icy patches and snow covered roads.
Around noon, in Kent County, southbound route one left lane was closed due to high water between barkers lane and mulberry point road.
The road was later opened back up
