Community to rally again in honor of girl battling with leukemia

In Maryland, community members are once again rallying behind a 9 year old girl battling leukemia.
Doctors diagnosed Brianna Merritt last fall. Earlier this month, community members and an international non-profit helped organize a bone marrow drive at the Chincoteague Community Center in the hopes of finding her a match.
At the Chintoteague event, she received an outpour of support. School officials at Brianna's school tell us they have found a match for Brianna.
However she doesn't want to stop there. We're told Brianna wants to help other patients in need of a transplant by hosting another bone marrow drive, but this time it will be at her school.
"For someone who is obviously suffering or going though a through time herself, to have a desire to help others. That's one of the most remarkable things anyone can do," says Edward Reid, the counselor Showell Elementary.
The bone marrow drive will take place Friday, March 31st at Showell Elementary from 5 to 9 PM.
