Bill to increase salary for Somerset County State’s Attorney pending approval by House

Pending approval from the Maryland House of Delegates, whoever fills the role of Somerset County State's Attorney next term can expect a pay raise.

A bill that passed in the Maryland Senate and is now awaiting final approval in the House would raise the Somerset County State's Attorney's salary from $98,000 a year to just over $113,000.

Currently the Somerset County State's Attorney is the only state's attorney in Maryland who makes below $100,000 a year. The final vote in the House is scheduled for the end of March.
