Bennett pleads guilty to three more counts of child sex abuse in Wicomico County

Zachariah Bennett, 26

After yesterday's plea deal in Worcester County, former martial arts instructor Zachariah Bennett has agreed to another plea deal with the state, this time admitting to three counts of sexual abuse of a minor.

Each count is for an individual victim, each one an underage female student of Bennett's at Mitchell's Martial Arts in Salisbury where he worked at the time. However, unlike Tuedsay's plea deal, Wednesday's plea agreement has been sealed. Details will not be made public until Bennett's sentencing hearing in May.

Wednesday in court the state provided a statement of facts–that Bennett had all three victims perform oral sex on him. The state said that Bennett would also request and send naked photos to the victims. With one victim, however, things went further, with the state saying Bennett's alleged co-conspirator, Leah Wright, served as a lookout for Bennett as he had sex with the victim.

Detectives say this victim told them she was scared during all of the incidents. Leah Wright has not yet gone to trial.

After court let out Wednesday morning, R.S. Mitchell, owner of Mitchell's Martial Arts, told 47 ABC's Julian Sadur that he believes justice has been served. Mitchell did not comment further.

Each count of sexual abuse of a minor potentially comes with a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison. Sentencing will will come in mid to late May.
