Accidental electrical wiring causes Vienna fire

Officials say that a structure fire that happened on Thursday morning was caused by accidental electrical wiring in Vienna.
According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal, on Thursday around 10:19 am, officials responded to a one story wood frame home on Old Ocean Gateway for a fire. Officials say no one was injured and that the estimated loss of the structure was $150,000. The estimated loss of contents was $20,000.
The smoke alarm of the home was present and working, and the fire took about 35 minutes to control with 20 firefighters on the scene.
The fire began in the living room and was discovered by a passerby.
