Wicomico County confirms a new airport manager

The Wicomico County Council hired Dawn Veatch to be the new general manager.

Wicomico County Council President John Cannon tells 47 ABC that Veatch has an extensive background not only in managing airports, but an excellent record working with the FAA.

Cannon adds that she also has experience with developing and expanding airports.

"We have so many plans in the works to expand the airport and to make it a great airport in Wicomico County that has such potential and I think she fills the bill as far as making that happen. I really am excited about what she'll bring to the airport," explains Cannon.

The County Council vote to hire Veatch was a unanimous one.
