UPDATE: Smyrna woman pleads guilty to antifreeze murder of husband

A Smyrna woman who was arrested for killing her husband by lacing his steroid injections with anti-freeze has pleaded guilty.

According to Delaware Department of Justice officials, Jamie Baker pleaded guilty to second degree murder in Kent County Superior Court on Monday.

Baker was arrested in March 2014 for first degree murder in the death of 42 year-old James Baker.

James who was a competitive weight-lifter died in September 2013.

Authorities said an autopsy that was revealed showed that ethylene glycol, a chemical found in antifreeze, was in his system.

After investigators found syringes and liquid steroids in the couple's home, Jamie reportedly told officers she had used a hypodermic syringe to extract antifreeze from a bottle and injected it into her husband's bottles of liquid steroids.

Baker's sentencing has been set for March 30.
