An Amber Alert has been issued for a 7-year-old Connecticut girl who is believed to be in extreme danger.

Police in Bridgeport, Conn. Say Aylin Sofia Hernandez may have been abducted by her father Oscar Hernandez. They are believed to possibly be heading south in a gray Hyundai Elantra with New York plates.

Police say Oscar Hernandez is the suspect in a fatal stabbing that happened in Bridgeport. Aylin was reportedly not present at the scene of the stabbing, but was taken by Hernandez when he fled Bridgeport.

The Amber Alert for Aylin Hernandez has been extended from Connecticut down through New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Virginia State Police have additionally activated the Amber Alert in the commonwealth.

Aylin is described as 4 feet tall, weighing around 55 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair.

Oscar Hernandez, 39, is described as 5' 8", 180 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
