Two Delaware men arrested in Salisbury heroin investigation

Darrius Miller, 22, of Greenwood, Del. and Douglas Butler, 22, of Bridgeville, Del.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says two Delaware men were arrested in Salisbury on Wednesday as part of an investigation into heroin distribution.

At about 3:02 Wednesday afternoon, deputies say they approached a car stopped in a parking lot.

Police say the car's occupants allegedly began moving as if they were trying to hide something as deputies neared the vehicle.

The men inside the car, 22-year-old Darrius Miller of Greenwood, Del. and 22-year-old Douglas Butler of Bridgeville, Del., were asked to step out of the vehicle and a drug-sniffing dog was brought in to conduct a scan.

The drug K9 reportedly detected the odor of illegal drugs and a search of the car was conducted.

Police say they found 100 wax baggies of heroin in the vehicle.

Miller and Butler were arrested and are both charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. They were transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center without bond pending a bond review.
