Suspects charged in connection with Easton stabbing

Police say two women have been arrested after a stabbing took place in Easton on January 26.
According to Easton Police, last Sunday officers arrested 20-year-old Jazmine Jones of Grasonville. Jones was charged with attempted first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment and conspiracy. She was taken before a Talbot County District Court Commissioner and ordered to be held without bond.
On January 26, officers arrested 25-year-old India Gordon of Easton. Gordon was charged with conspiracy to commit first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment and accessory after the fact. Gordon was taken before a Talbot County District Court Commissioner where she was held on temporary committal.
On January 26, around 12:28 AM, officers were dispatched to Parkway Apartments in reference to a stabbing. When officers arrived, they met with the victim, rendered aid and had her taken to Easton Memorial Hospital. At the hospital, officer learned that earlier, the victim was involved in an altercation with Jones. After the altercation, Jones and Gordon left the area.
About 30 minutes later, police say, Jones and Gordon returned to the victim's home and initiated a second altercation with the victim. During the altercation between Jones and the victim, Jones reportedly stabbed the victim with an ice pick below her right eye. Police say, Jones then stabbed the victim in the back of her head, lodging the ice pick. After the victim pulled the ice pick out, police were called. Police say the victim was treated for her injuries and later released.
