Smyrna still number one as they defeat Caesar Rodney in tough road win

The Smyrna Eagles defeated the Caesar Rodney Riders 60-47 in a big road win.

In a battle to show dominance in the Henlopen North, the 12-2 Smyrna Eagles traveled to Caesar Rodney high school to take on the 10-4 Riders. But, the Riders would not give up easily. To start the second half, Najee Watson and Jaquan Hooks combined for eight points to help their team score sixteen in the third quarter and come within six to end the third quarter. In the fourth quarter Caesar Rodney got into some foul trouble as they fouled the Eagles fifteen times and Smyrna took advantage. They went thirteen for fifteen and ran away with the lead and getting the win 60-47.

The Eagles will look to continue their eight game win streak as they host Polytech on Tuesday the 7th. Caesar Rodney will try and get back in the win column as they host the Sussex Tech Ravens on Tuesday the 7th.
