Salisbury Police: No evidence to support recent sexual predator rumors

The Salisbury Police Department says recent rumors about a rape and kidnapping in the area of U.S. Route 50 and the intersection of Autumn Grove Court are unsubstantiated.

Detectives say on February 20th they began an investigation into these allegations by a victim who claimed she was raped, kidnapped and assaulted on the night of February 19th. Through an investigation that consisted of multiple interviews, review of video footage and review of cell phone data, detectives found the initial report to be inaccurate.
