Salisbury man sentenced for stabbing man in Princess Anne ditch

A Salisbury man who was arrested for stabbing a man in the back in Princess Anne was sentenced to a year and a half in prison, though he will only have to serve six months.

Gregory Ardis, 49, entered an Alford plea, essentially pleading guilty to one count of reckless endangerment without actually admitting to the crime.

He additionally was ordered to pay a $400 fine.

Ardis was arrested last September after he reportedly chased a man down with his car in Princess Anne and stabbed him in the back in a ditch.

The victim was treated at Peninsula Regional Medical Center and released.
