Salisbury man pleads guilty in connection to murder of Keonte Gaskins

A man accused in connection with a Salisbury murder has pleaded guilty.

According to the Wicomico County State's Attorney, 19-year-old Gerald Savage has pleaded guilty to second degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Keonte Gaskins.

Gaskins was killed in May. His body was found in a stairwell at the Village of Mitchell Pond Apartment Complex the following morning.

The victim's brother Shaquille Gaskins is facing a murder charge in connection with the shooting death of Irvonte Jones back in April.

Daquan Dickerson, who is accused of firing the deadly shot that killed Keonte Gaskins, will be tried on murder charges in June.

Joshua Perry, who was also arrested in connection with the murder, was found guilty of first degree murder.

Savage's sentencing has been deferred.
