Salisbury man fighting for his life after Monday night shooting

Maryland State Police say they responded to a shooting Monday night at 1006 East Road in Salisbury.

At around 11:30 PM, troopers of the Salisbury Barrack discovered Troy Smiley of Salisbury with a life threatening gunshot wound. He was then transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center and later flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

Smiley was reportedly shot by an unknown suspect while he was outside of the apartment complex.
